LinkedInWe have made clinical movement analysis fundamentally more accessible than anything on the market. We want it to actually become useful in physiotherapy, research and education in the Netherlands. And we want to do that from a company, because that is the only structure in which we can sustain, improve and expand it over the long term.
Babon did not start from a polished business plan. We were working with parametric body models — the kind of models you see in AI research — when we realised that those models already compute the rotation matrices you need for clinical joint angles, and that the rest of the field works around them with an IK solver. That was not a trumpets-and-fanfare breakthrough, more a "wait, why is nobody just doing this". We filed that observation as a patent in April 2026, and since then we have been building the tool that makes it usable in practice and the dataset that grows underneath. We have some healthcare experience in the team, but not enough — that is why we spend a lot of time talking to physiotherapists, researchers and education programmes, to learn how this actually lands in their work.
